For a solo traveler, the area near Tunnel 103 has worked really well for me. I've stayed there for six days over two trips, and it feels quiet and local, away from the usual tourist noise. Bus connections to the Ridge, University, and forest trails are easy. The location also gives you access to the Railway Station, Old Bus Stand, and ISBT. At around ₹450/bed, the value is hard to beat.

The dorms are affordable, clean, and well maintained, though the blankets have lint. They're quiet, too. It's about a five-minute walk from the bus station if you take the steps beside the ISBT ground floor area. I'd recommend it for a short or long stay.

The dorm beds have privacy curtains, fans, powerpoints, and their own lights, plus there are good-sized secure lockers and kitchen facilities. It's a lovely, clean, well-maintained place in a great location. The staff were excellent and very supportive. Definitely recommend it.

The bed is very good, the washrooms are good, and there's a cafeteria right next to the hotel. But the road is extremely steep and the 150m left cut to the hotel is only accessible by car. Walking up or down it is hard.

The bathrooms were clean, and the 40-person dorm was moderately quiet. For the price, the hostel is nice, and it's very close to the railway station. Getting there on foot is a bit challenging because the slope is very steep. I didn't find any common area.
