The room shares a door with the dorm, which was the worst part. There were spiders in the washroom, and the toilet wasn’t cleaned. The bed sheets were dirty, furniture was broken, and only one of the three lights worked. The switchboard was broken too. This room shouldn’t cost more than 500/-.

For the low price, it was nice to stay here, and the staff behaved well and positively. There’s a nice view from the place. On the downside, beds weren’t cleaned and replaced after someone used them, and common supplies like water bottles, bathing gel, and shampoo weren’t provided. One WC didn’t work properly, and the upper floor room had no ventilation. There was no proper kitchen or dining area, and no study chair or table. The terrace areas weren’t clean either, and the hotel’s appearance didn’t make it easy to locate. Only outside food was available by order, at a very high cost.

I found bed bugs during my stay. They offered no refund, and I wasn’t comfortable sleeping there, so I changed accommodation after one night. The owner said he’d take action. The bathrooms were clean, and the food was cheap and tasty, but cleanliness overall was low. The dorms had no doors, just an open space like a hallway.

The dormitory works well for a group staying several days on a modest budget. For a more relaxed coffee break, the rooms above it have a balcony with a lovely view. There are also family rooms, and one of them looks out over Shimla. Best guest house I've stayed in!
