Hotel Woodland by OYO Rooms

The location near the Ridge and the Jakhu ropeway was hard to find. Although the restroom had a bathtub, it wasn’t really usable because there was a bucket and mug in it. Cleanliness was a problem too: the menu was dirty, the bathroom floor wasn’t clean, there was mold in the bathroom, and wires were hanging from the geyser. The bedsheets and room were okay. We weren’t given towels or a bathrobe, and I had to ask for soap. I’d have liked the prices to be lower, since there are plenty of good options in that range.

The service and food were good, but the room and booking problems ruined our trip. I went with three friends to celebrate my birthday. The rooms they gave us, 201 and 202, were small, dirty, and smelled really bad. They were completely different from the rooms shown when I booked. We had paid for a CP plan that included breakfast, but the staff said they had no information about it and didn’t provide breakfast. There was also a mouse in the room making so much noise that we couldn’t sleep properly. I’m a hotelier myself and didn’t want to leave this kind of review, but please check the plan, the rooms shown in the pictures, and what was actually given to guests. My trip was wasted. A very bad experience.

Room service calls went unanswered at night. At check-in, they gave us a different room from the one shown during booking. Getting there also meant climbing around 100 stairs.

The rooms are fine, and the hotel is right by the Jakhu temple ropeway station. But it’s at a very high altitude, so I wouldn’t recommend it for older people.
