Hydrangea Heights by PTW Hotels

Good value for the money. The food was good and arrived on time, and the service was prompt and professional. Staff were helpful and polite, the rooms clean and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. It was a peaceful, pleasant stay.

They charged me ₹4000 after a chair leg broke while I was sitting and had only moved it slightly backward to let a lady pass. The staff blamed me instead of treating it as an accident, saying their chairs were very strong and couldn’t break that way. If it was so sturdy, how did such a small movement break it? It seemed weak or damaged already. They were rude and made me feel at fault. Very disappointing hospitality at Hydrangea Hotel, Shimla. Be careful booking here.

The property is nice and the room was spacious, but the hospitality was really, really bad. The room hadn’t been cleaned, there was no toilet paper, and the restaurant area was dirty. Nobody answered when I called reception, and the receptionist was very rude, repeatedly.

Check-in took more than 45 minutes because the desk staff seemed indifferent and painfully slow. Their phone was always off, and nobody came for checkout. I called about dirty pillows and towels, but instead of acknowledging the obvious problem, they started explaining it away. The rudeness and apathy were constant. The room was a decent size, but felt like a cheap, poorly maintained storage space. The sheets and pillows had suspicious stains, and the carpet badly needed a deep clean or replacement. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve had in years. I’d give zero stars if I could, since the one star was required. Spend your money elsewhere.
