I was traveling alone and only used the room from midnight until early morning, so I didn't need fancy amenities or much comfort. For the nightly rate, the room was okay, and the staff were welcoming and very polite. Still, the bed wasn't comfortable, the linens weren't properly clean, and the overall cleaning wasn't good. Staff tried twice to fix the toilet flush, but it still didn't work well. My stay itself was fine, and I can still recommend it to solo travelers on a budget.

Breakfast was yummy and filling, and the place felt like good value for money. The city view from the room was great, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It's just a short walk to Mall Road, so the location worked well for me. I had a fantastic stay at hotel newland shimla! I'd definitely recommend it and come back.

The food was good, yummy homemade food, and there was safe parking available. The hotel was neat and clean, and the staff were friendly. I had a lot of good experiences here, especially with gunmen thakur, who is a great person.

Getting to nearby attractions and transport was easy from here. It was a comfortable, safe stay and one I'll remember. I'd highly recommend this homestay if you're after somewhere cozy with an authentic feel.
