The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and the rooms were squeaky clean with bathrooms that had all the amenities. The hotel is breathtaking, especially the top floor rooms, which have excellent mountain views.

The place felt close to nature and had a nice view, so it could suit you if you want peace. But most facilities are far away. The taxi union often bullies Ola and Uber drivers, so you have to use union taxis, which charge two or three times the normal fare.

It’s an okay cheap place, though it sits a little outside the city, so booking a cab or similar is a better idea. There are no hotels or restaurants nearby, but the staff can arrange some basic food options if you ask.

The road to the hotel is very narrow, risky, and hard to drive on. Walking from the main road may be better. Some rooms are so cramped there’s barely space for luggage, almost as if you open the door and jump straight in. The rooms weren’t clean: the bedspreads had lots of hair, the kitchen area was bad, and the plates were stained. When I told the room boy, he said nothing and disappeared. On checkout day, he took my phone, opened this app, and gave the place a five-star rating. He said they work 24 hours, there are two of them, they’re underpaid, and their malik would scold them and fire them for a low rating. The geyser barely works, giving about 15 liters of lukewarm water. The room heater cost an extra INR 300 and was very poor quality, with only 1kw capacity.
