The rooms and washroom were spacious and clean, and there was parking available. It felt secure, was easy to reach, and was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and kind. Even though they didn't know the language, they made sure the service was good and on time.
For a little over Rs 1000, my family and I got an A/C room for one night. It was fairly large, about 12 by 17, and the hotel is right in the city. There's no restaurant inside, but room service brought us coffee from outside.
Right in the centre of Gopi circle Shimoga, this place works for a day or two if you're watching your budget. The rooms and washroom were clean, but the bed and sheets weren't well maintained. I also had a lot of trouble with mosquitoes at night.
There was no power backup, and the power was out about half the time. The bed had ants, and the bathroom was crawling with cockroaches, so I didn't feel like using it. There weren't any facilities in the room, not even a land phone to call reception.
The family rooms are really spacious, and basement parking has room for 5 cars. Hot water for bathing is switched on between 7.30am and 8.30am.
