Speed boating and kayaking brought a lot of laughter and excitement to our stay, a fun surprise in such a peaceful, heritage-filled place. The views were lovely too, with still water, open sky, and nature all around. Food felt like the sort of comforting meal you’d get at home. There’s a personal warmth in how the place is run, and Rajeev’s thoughtful presence adds to that. The staff were attentive and ready to help. Time seemed to slow down as soon as we arrived.

The host, Rajeev Thomas, made us feel so at home that he seemed like a caring family member. My wife and I spent four nights here, from Oct 25th, 2025 through Oct 28th, 2025, for a much-needed break. We wished we could have stayed longer, but work called. By the Pampa river in Alappuzha, the resort has a quiet garden and a riverside restaurant where you can eat while houseboats pass by. The setting brought us a kind of peace we’d missed in the bustle of city life. The traditional Kerala Tharavad feel comes through in the orange clay roof tiles and all the woodwork, from the rooms to the ceiling and walls. Our room was clean and traditional in style, with modern amenities, and felt like good value. The surroundings were almost silent, so we could enjoy the sounds of nature. Service was excellent. This was a refreshing stay, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone needing a break from a busy routine in God's own country.

When we tried to leave, we discovered that the only road from the villa to the main road was blocked because of paddy field packing. We were told to wait an hour, but the owner made no effort to help us get out. His wife just told us to wait another hour, which felt careless and irresponsible. The entry to the property is awful, and they don’t mention it. We had booked two rooms, and even though four rooms were empty, the owner kept pressuring us to vacate one by 10 AM. We had two small children, but that didn’t seem to matter. The place wasn’t clean. The food and the view were the only decent parts of the stay. They call it a resort, but it felt more like an Airbnb-style setup run by one man and three North Indian helpers who didn’t seem to know what they were doing.

We really enjoyed the boating in that lovely weather, and the food was delicious. The place has such a traditional feel, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We also hadn’t expected to find a badminton net, so our family was happy to play. Thanks for the service, and thank you!

We enjoyed speed boating and kayaking, with safety measures in place, and our morning walk came with birds, mist, and plenty of nature. The Pamba River view at sunset was mesmerizing, with a grassy lawn and mango trees full of fruit. We ate outside in an open outhouse near the river. The rooms had attached bathrooms with utilities and AC, and a pleasant ambience. The whole place combines traditional living with modern facilities. Its wooden sculptures and structure made it feel like an old Kerala tharavad. It was peaceful and refreshing, a welcome break from the daily routine. The host family lives nearby and were very hospitable, and their cute dog Casper quickly befriended us.
