Hotel Govind Park

The room they showed us had mold on one side and poor ventilation, and there was no waste basket. The lift was congested; the food at the attached restaurant was okay. We were brought from the railway station by a driver paid by the hotel, who said the temple was just 200m away, though the actual distance was around 1km. At check-in they quoted 1200, higher than the booking prices we'd seen online, and said we could stay for 24 hours. In the morning they then told us to check out by 9am; after a brief argument, they let us stay until 12pm. They'd also said they'd provide a temple service, but in the morning said it was only a few minutes' walk and we could walk. Hotel service was the worst. Never choose this place, even by mistake.

Outside the hotel looks good, but inside it was one of my worst hotel experiences. The room was very small, with barely enough space for one person to walk comfortably, and the bedding had marks. The washroom was dirty, the bucket and mug greasy, and the flush leaked and made noise throughout our stay. I don't believe the walls had ever been cleaned. The website showed a hot water kettle, but there wasn't one, and they didn't provide drinking water bottles either. The TV was mounted on the wall but disconnected, so it was useless. We didn't try the AC because it was winter. They did give us two towels and soaps, but the staff weren't up to the mark.

The rooms they gave us were in terrible condition, with hardly any space and not a single facility. They provided just two towels, and nothing else. Extremely disappointing, below basic. The hotel's condition is pathetic.

The hotel is about 1 km from Sai Baba temple. Bhima bhai runs the restaurant and makes great food. Be sure to try his tea too.
