We paid for two nights but left after just one because the place was so bad. The bathroom fittings were broken, including the commode flush and the gun, and the room smelled bad and was full of dust. Some rooms don’t even have mosquito nets. The owner and staff seemed completely uninterested in maintenance and only concerned with getting money. A terrible stay.

The owner keeps telling you to trust him, but I didn’t find that reassuring at all. Don’t book here, and watch out for brokers at the railway station who chase you and bring people to this hotel. I didn’t see anyone booking online. There was no geyser, and the old-style boilers weren’t managed responsibly, so the promised hot water wasn’t dependable. I especially wouldn’t come in winter or rainy weather. A pathetic experience.

The rooms were not bad and service was average. We stayed on 6 December 2022. In the afternoon, the temperature made us ask for AC, and they charged an extra 300 rupees per day on top of the room rate. The unit was very old and didn’t work. A service person came, checked it, and confirmed the problem, but management refused to move us, saying there were no rooms available. Check the room before settling in.

The manager was a friendly, good guy, and both the complimentary lunch and dinner were very good. The rooms were good too, and the temple is only a 5-10 minute walk away.

Good cleanliness, and the temple is nearby. It’s budget friendly, and if you let them know ahead of time, you can get reasonably priced packed food for your journey. Nearby you can find food, ATMs, cool drinks, and other things.
