OYO 15483 Sai Palkhi Niwara

The outdoor area was a nice experience, especially the bird and fish museum, and the hotel interior looks good. The new expanded rooms aren't up to mark, though. There is no ventilation in the washrooms or even the rooms, and most rooms don't have hot water supply.

I was there for a gymnastics competition, but didn't take a room. The entrance looked very grand, and they seem to maintain the place well. There are huge halls, a free birds park, and lots of idols, with a spacious feel and excellent ambience. It's good-looking and has plenty of parking, plus very nice spots for photography. The free bird park is very near, just 10-15 steps away. They are adding some colourful big coloums now, so maybe it'll look even more awesome in future. The main drawback is that it's farther from the Sai temple than other hotels.

I was there with my family, including four hungry children, and ended up leaving without dinner. I ordered food at 9:10 pm, but they didn't start preparing it until 10:20, after an hour. The restaurant staff were disgusting. It was a very bad experience.

The hotel is generally clean and airy, and I liked the atmosphere, with statues all around. We stayed in a new non AC room with three beds for the South Zone CBSE judo championship; AC rooms are available too. They host various events, and a radiologists conference was on before we arrived. The attached restaurant serves tasty, high quality veg food, though options are limited because of low staffing. Service staff were well behaved. In non AC rooms, hot water only comes until 9.30am in the morning, but you can ask for buckets of hot water at any time.
