The matar mushroom and daal were the best parts of our lunch at Hotel Good Luck, both had plenty of flavor. The kheer was forgettable, though, and the rotis came out so crisp they were almost like papads. Service was just okay, with staff who seemed a little lazy and didn't approach us until we called them. Could work for a quick meal if service isn't a big concern.

Our stay at Hotel Good Luck, Shimla was disappointing. We waited hours for food, and when it came, it wasn't what we'd ordered. The staff were rude when we asked for help and didn't seem interested in assisting us. There was also a broken bathroom door in our room, which was inconvenient and felt like a safety concern. With those problems, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shimla. There are plenty of other hotels with better service and amenities. Rating: 1/5.

I left Hotel Good Luck feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. The room service was extremely slow, and requests took hours. The food still wasn't up to the mark when it arrived. Staff were rude and unhelpful, showed little interest in our concerns, and made us feel unwelcome. Our bathroom door was broken, adding to the room issues. The hotel also seemed short on attention to detail. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless the service and facilities improve. Cleanliness: 2/5. Service: 1/5. Amenities: 2/5. Value for Money: 1/5.

The bill for our food was INR 306, and I paid twice. I first paid by scan code and the amount was deducted from my account, but the manager or owner still asked me to pay again. He said he'd return the first payment if it came through. It's been almost 10 days, and I'm 99% sure that first payment was credited to the Good Luck account. I still haven't got the money back. I'm posting the food bill here.

There's ample parking, the seating is good, and the location is a plus. Staff are helpful, too. The food preparation is great, and you can order without worrying about quality or portion size. Their tandoori chicken is one of the finest, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for that.
