Hotel Brahmaputra

Please don’t list dishes you can’t serve. I brought my husband here for the first time and nothing on the menu was available. If all you can offer is alcohol, then remove the restaurant.

The rooftop restaurant has really nice decor and interiors, and there’s a fun area for children while parents eat. The staff were okay, not especially great. I only had coffee, so I can’t comment on the food. There’s a bar too, but I don’t drink, so no opinion on that.

The hotel is right by ONGC Sivasagar Asset, on a main road, so it’s easy to reach from all the major routes and well connected.

There’s a thoughtfully arranged, air-conditioned play space at one side of the dining room, which is especially handy for families with toddlers. If you’re planning to dine on a weekend or holiday, book ahead, since it can get busy and you may have to wait for a table. We ordered mutton rogan josh, achari paneer, butter naan, crispy baby corn, and a couple of other things. The food was good in quality, taste, and portion size, and the waiting staff served us well. The restaurant is on the fourth floor. The drinks were a letdown. The cocktails were below average, and most of the items listed on the bar menu weren’t available. That part needs work. Still, it’s a great family place, though I’d probably skip the cocktail menu.
