Hotel Sudakshina By Roh

After a long trip, I was left shivering because there was no hot water. The receptionist had assured me the geyser worked, but all I got was cold water. The bathroom was the main problem: poor drainage left water pooled on the floor after I bathed. There wasn’t a dustbin in either the room or bathroom. For the price, it wasn’t worth it, especially with cleaner places nearby. Avoid if you don’t want an uncomfortable stay.

They said no to just about everything I asked for, as if basic service were a favor. There were no toiletries, kettle, or geyser, and the rooms were dirty, unhygienic, and clearly not maintained. Staff were rude and arrogant, and either ignored room service requests or acted as if I was bothering them. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, a total waste of money. Staying here was a mistake I won’t repeat. It doesn’t deserve even one star. Avoid it unless you’re fine with being disrespected in a filthy room with no amenities.

Bugs everywhere, dirty blankets, and awful rooms. The service was terrible, and the staff wouldn’t cooperate with anything.

The kindness of the owner or manager really made our visit memorable. My friend and I were welcomed warmly, and even though the AC room cost more, they charged us the non-AC rate. We’d asked for a non-AC room since it was December, but none was available on the first day, so they put us in an AC room at no extra charge. The next day they moved us to the non-AC room, and we stayed three nights in total. Hotel Sudakshina was the only place I truly liked during my visit to Silchar. The hospitality was amazing, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Silchar.
