I joined Siliguri Club in June to play badminton, and this is what I experienced. Some players acted as if the court belonged to them and wouldn’t let others play. One man literally told me to bring someone along if I wanted to play. They were gambling, so I got thrown out of the game. It was unfortunate, and there may be a community problem. If they can’t admit someone as a single player, they shouldn’t take that person’s admission. If you do take people in, make sure players are asked not to gamble and to play peacefully. Apart from the coach, the whole badminton community seems deluded about proving their own point through arrogance. They behave as though they paid while everyone else is there for free. Thank you very much.

I went to learn swimming, and it was great. The trainer was really nice, and the pool was very clean. They do use far too much chlorine, which we end up taking in, but even so, I’d love to join again soon.

The service here is really good, and there’s a cafeteria inside with very good food. They also have water coolers and AC. I’ve been practicing and playing badminton here for about a year. The atmosphere is great, people are supportive, and they encourage you to improve and help you learn the game. The coach is supportive too, one of the best in Siliguri in my opinion. I’ve learned a lot about the sport this past year and plan to keep learning.
