VIPs Hotel Olive

The WiFi was good, and I appreciated that breakfast was included even for the 1260 rs non ac room. The hot poori was nice, though the sabji was watery. Breakfast was just one sandwich, Poori baji and tea, with no coffee even when I asked. Tea bags were in the room, but there was no kettle to heat water. The base category rooms are really small. My bedsheet had cigarette holes, the bathroom towels were very old, and there was an earthworm 🪱 in the bathroom on the 3rd floor. Room 201 needs a deep clean, and its mirror should be replaced. The fan looked scary, like it might fall while I was sleeping. The GM definitely needs training, and he seemed to be working on incentives and had no time to listen. I don't like writing negative reviews, but this one needed it.

There was no working window for ventilation, and the toiletries were poor quality. The room was too small to move around in, and the linens were dirty. I waited an hour for them to be changed. The mattress was so uncomfortable, like sleeping on a water-filled balloon, that I couldn't sleep all night. I wouldn't recommend the property or come back.

The food prices were quite high, but everything basic was available. It was a clean, hygienic, budget-friendly stay near New Jalpaiguri Railway station. I had a nice experience with the hotel staff, who were very polite.

The room at Olive Hotel didn't justify the price. It was below what I expected and not worth the amount charged. The front desk team were particularly rude and unprofessional, and didn't know how to speak to guests properly. Their attitude made the whole stay uncomfortable. I was very unhappy with the experience and wouldn't recommend this hotel.
