Hotel Ritesh by OYO Rooms

We only needed somewhere to get ready for a wedding, so this worked for our last-minute booking, but it would be a waste of money for a holiday. The room was dirty, the bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t lock, and we found cockroaches in the room too.

The rooftop restaurant serves good food, and you can see the fort and lake temple from there. The location is good, and the rooms are big. It’s a budget hotel, fine for one night, though the bathroom fittings are old. Breakfast isn’t included in the room rent.

We arrived on 26th December 2025, tired after a long journey with my senior citizen parents, but were told every room was occupied and asked to wait. We had booked two rooms on 17th December 2025 for noon on 26th December through noon on 28th December, paying the 50% advance requested by the hotel manager, Mr.Basavraj Shivangi. We weren’t given our rooms until about 4:45 in the evening. They weren’t to our liking, but after the long trip and unnecessary wait we had no real choice. Management said they could arrange another hotel, but none was available in peak season. They then offered a refund and told us to look elsewhere, despite knowing that. We asked for the owner’s number and they refused, saying he was out of town. Later we realized the owner lives in the Bunglow next door. After we settled in, they asked me to sign the check-in register but told us not to write the room numbers assigned to us, saying GST would apply. I refused, and management had to accept that. I’m not sure what they intended, though I wondered if they wanted to pocket the amount. This management is completely unprofessional and unethical, and doesn’t seem business oriented. The owner needs to open his eyes before it’s too late. I can’t say how long they’ll last if they keep operating this way. A horrible experience, not worth trying.

The hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff were very cooperative. The food was very good too.
