Hotel Decent Somnath

The washroom tap didn’t work properly, and the room’s cleanliness and upkeep need attention. I stayed here with my young daughter, and the room felt too cramped for a family. We weren’t very comfortable overall. Better hygiene and facilities would help.

My grandfather passed away suddenly, so I had to cancel a booking I’d made through igoibibó. I sent the supporting documents with my cancellation request and called the property to explain what had happened. The staff refused, pointing to hotel policy, and said dismissively, “If we started cancelling bookings whenever people brought us requests like this, guests would make a habit of cancelling at our hotel.” I was deeply disappointed by how insensitive the response was. I hope the owner and manager never face that kind of treatment in a similar situation.

The rooms were hygienic, with good beds and bedsheets, working AC, showers and bathrooms. Staff were helpful and ready to assist without being asked. Somnath Mandir is about 2 km away, and Bawarchi Restaurant is nearby. They offer tea, coffee and milk, so for lunch, dinner or full meals you’ll need to visit nearby restaurants. There are Punjabi, Gujarati, Kathiyawadi and Chinese options. It’s a worthwhile stay with no hidden charges.

A budget hotel with clean, tidy rooms. The staff were polite and helpful.
