The glacier and mountain views were the most memorable part of my stay at Hotel Akbar, Sonmarg. Our room was tidy and well maintained, and the warm welcome made us feel at ease from the start. Staff were attentive and supportive, the service was excellent, and the food met our expectations. The washroom could use a little improvement, but I had a great stay and would recommend the hotel to people visiting Sonmarg.

Mr. Faizan, the hotel manager, made our stay at Hotel Akbar especially memorable. He was courteous, humble, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. His sincere welcome and dedication to guests made us feel valued and more like honored guests than customers. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, and the hotel had a warm, welcoming feel that suited a visit to the beautiful surroundings of Sonmarg. We’re grateful for the experience and would highly recommend the hotel. We’ll remember the service, especially Mr. Faizan’s, for a long time.

The staff were cooperative and supportive, and I enjoyed the good food. The property itself seems quite old and needs renovation. My room was average, and the toilet door lock was awkward to use and made noise whenever I opened or shut it. It was an average stay for me, a 3 out of 5.

The hotel view was awesome, and the staff were both professional and super friendly. I feel the food is the best across all of Kashmir. It was an amazing experience.
