Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Sonamarg

Our stay on 4th and 5th March 2026 with family was pleasant overall. The room was comfortable and very good, service was good too, and the staff were polite. The part I didn’t like was having horse riding and snow bike operators, along with snow boot rental vendors and their vehicles, inside the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Sonamarg campus. As we walked there, some approached and surrounded us, repeatedly offering rides, snow bikes, or help making reels. It felt pushy and uncomfortable. Around 4 PM on 4th March, some agents were laughing loudly and joking together while we walked, which disturbed us. We travel with family to tourist spots for peaceful time together, and in my view these agents shouldn’t be allowed inside the hotel grounds. In such a beautiful destination and good hotel, that situation spoiled the experience for us.

The bonfire beneath the cold Sonamarg sky, with music and warmth, was one of my favourite parts of this business trip. Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Sonamarg felt calm from the moment I arrived, with crisp air and snow-covered mountains all around. The staff were genuinely warm, polite, and welcoming. My centrally heated room was cozy and well maintained, and room service was prompt and cheerful. The food was comforting and full of flavour, especially breakfast, which was fresh and thoughtfully prepared with a good spread. Lovely atmosphere and hospitality, I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Sonamarg.

We loved sitting in the open-air garden and taking in the landscape and views in every direction. The food was excellent, and Muneer and Ishfaq in the dining area deserve thanks for taking care of all our Jain food requirements throughout the stay.

Showkat and his team deserve special thanks for the memorable meals and stay. We had dinner and breakfast at Country Inn in Sonmarg, and the food was so rich and tasty that it stood out even compared with our experiences at four- and five-star restaurants and hotels in Srinagar. I’m only sharing how much we enjoyed it, not trying to compare. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available, and the hospitality was more than we could have hoped for. My family and I had a smooth, enjoyable visit.
