Hotel Snowland Sonamarg

Everything felt comfortable, with the basics in place and a working TV and a perfect heater. The jacuzzi was a great bonus. The hotel was clean, neat, and well maintained, and staff acted professionally throughout. I’d stayed at another Radisson property in Sonamarg, and this one was far better by comparison. A very good find in Sonamarg.

The staff were polite, attentive, and made the visit comfortable, which was the bright spot. I tried one of their sandwiches, though, and it was disappointing, with little flavor and quality below what I expected. It also felt overpriced. Service is strong, but the food and pricing need significant improvement.

The views are good, and so are the people, but the organisation is pathetic. We were staying at the hotel, yet a VIP moment meant guests couldn't roam freely and they weren't even serving in-room. Make sure to check these things before booking. The food is pretty ok for the price. The only good thing is the view, and only from a few rooms, which are really expensive compared to any international property. Choose wisely.

The promised river view was mostly blocked by equipment on the property, nothing like the sweeping view advertised. The hotel downgraded our room because of this, but the manager showed no empathy and offered no solution. The jacuzzi didn't work properly, and our request for an extra bed after the downgrade wasn't met. There wasn't a welcome drink when we arrived either, we had to call reception to get one. We left disappointed with the room description, the broken amenity, and management's poor customer service. I can't recommend it unless they fix the jacuzzi, move the equipment blocking the river view, and improve staff responsiveness.
