The restaurant was spacious and clean, and Dilshanbhai and the support staff were quick, humble, and served tasty food with a homely feel. The front desk manager was polite and helpful, though I’ve forgotten his name, maybe imran bhai or shbbirbhai. We booked for two days. The location is prime, with enough parking, a garden, and great views on all four sides. The whole workforce and the room service made the stay enjoyable, and I strongly recommend coming here for the location and food. Some tourists have awkward timings and demands, but I saw the staff trying their best to satisfy them. I admired how cool and calm they stayed. All the best.

The glass windows let you see the scenery, but people outside can easily look into the rooms. That felt unsafe and uncomfortable, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to high-profile people because of the lack of privacy. One-way glass or proper one-way window coverings would be a more responsible choice. The location and views are among the best in the area. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, and the restaurant food is genuinely excellent. Hot water in the washroom was inconsistent, though, and room heaters aren’t provided outside winter, which can be uncomfortable in the cold weather that comes through the year. The property has great potential, but privacy and basic amenities need attention to improve the guest experience.

We stayed for 3 nights, and the food was so delicious that we didn’t eat anywhere else in Sonamarg. The servings were more than enough for two, though I wouldn’t really call that a con. The staff were super polite and professional. They also gave us a larger room heater, which warmed the spacious room quickly, plus an electric blanket. We were almost never cold, and the showers and taps always had hot water. I chose this place so my mother could experience snow. Watching her sip coffee and gaze out at the snowy landscape was pretty much what the trip was for. The view from the room speaks for itself. Everything else was amazing too, from the rooms and food to the staff, hospitality, views, and cleanliness. We had the deluxe room, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a cosy place to stay in Sonamarg.

We went twice during the same trip, and I’ll always stay at Imperial Resort on future trips to Kashmir. It’s a wonderful, cozy place in Sonmarg with a friendly, homelike atmosphere, more than a 10 for me. The food is super delicious, and dining staff danish and sareed have a magic touch with it. Manager Shabir sir is very friendly, while housekeeping staff azad, khursheed, and muzamil are polite and helpful. I highly highly recommend it.
