Jolan's Guest House

Basic amenities weren’t there, and nobody was at reception for check-in or check-out. Don’t plan a stay at this property.

The staff were polite and helped a lot with transport and my late check-in. The food was delectable, the Wi-Fi worked great, and the spacious rooms were clean, well ventilated, and had all the necessary amenities, including a fridge. Jolan Guest house is conveniently close to Dabolim Airport and just 4-5 minutes on foot from Bogomalo beach. I simply loved my stay and was very satisfied.

The food was out of this world, the staff were attentive and smiling, and the vibe felt cool and homely. The big, spacious rooms reminded me of my home in jaipur. It’s great value for money, and I’ll come again very soon. I was only there for a few hours as an in-transit stay because it’s near the airport. I checked in around 2pm and left at 4 am. They forgot to charge me for a chicken burger, so if you’re reading this, please let me know the amount! Just a friendly tip: some guests were really loud from 11.30pm - 1.00 am. They were drinking and being abusive with each other, and it was so disturbing that we couldn’t sleep.

The restaurant was closed during our visit, the WiFi didn’t work, and there was no mosquito net or soap in the bathroom. We also had a taxi booked for 2:15am to get to the airport, and they confirmed it twice. At 2:10 we went to reception, but there was nobody around. We knocked on every door and waited 40 minutes without seeing any staff or taxi. In the end we dragged our suitcases to the airport in the middle of the night, a 35-minute walk with some very steep stretches, and nearly missed our flight. Unbelievable. The guest house is close to the airport, but you may still have to walk there. Bogmalo itself wasn’t nice either, with high prices, leery men, and hawkers. I’d just get a taxi from Palolem or wherever you’re staying in Goa instead of spending a night in Bogmalo. Don’t trust Jolans guest house.
