Nanutel Margao

The breakfast buffet is on the 6th floor, with a beautiful view of the sunrise over the surroundings and birds chirping. It's a lovely way to start the day. The staff are cheerful and helpful, and service is good. Rooms are spacious and average, though better decor could make the stay more memorable. The hotel is next to a petrol pump but is still easy to get to. The pricing seems on the high side, probably because of seasonal demand. Overall, it was an above-average experience.

The restaurant food was delicious and the service there was great. Breakfast was good too, with Indian options, breads, Dosa and an egg station. The rooms were spacious and very clean, with a comfortable bed. There's loud music and other outside noise, but it gets quiet by 10pm. I accidentally added an extra night when booking and called Nanutel soon after to ask for a refund. They said no, and said no again when I asked at check-in. The next day, a staff member told me the manager would let me use the charge in the restaurant. Great news, and well done.

The staff were attentive during our three-day stay, though at busy times they could seem indifferent. It was a mixed bag, even if that sounds contradictory. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the stay was pretty comfortable at Nautel. The pool is small, and when we tried it around 8 one morning, it was closed. The cafe opens quite late and service is a little slow. We didn't try the buffet breakfast, though I've heard it's quite good. It wasn't a bad place, but nothing to rave about either.

I booked Nanutel after someone recommended it, and wasn't disappointed. It was a birthday gift for my mother, who likes the city's vibrant energy but also wants a peaceful break and a comfortable bed. The location is fantastic, close to restaurants, churches and the market. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, and there are plenty of other good places to eat nearby as well. Staff were incredibly accommodating, handled our special requests and took care of the little details. The spacious, airy room was relaxing, and the bed was comfortable. My mother especially appreciated that the bathroom tiles dried quickly after use, a reassuring detail when traveling with senior parents. Safety and comfort matter, and this made a real difference for her. I'd definitely recommend Nanutel to anyone who enjoys the city and wants a great stay with exceptional customer service.
