The greenery around the cottages gives Shawnels Resort, Palolem a calm, refreshing feel. I booked two nights for about ₹8.5k, and felt the stay justified the price. The receptionist was very helpful and made things more comfortable. If you enjoy nature, peace, and a garden-style place, it’s lovely for relaxing. It may not suit you if you want a concrete-jungle setting or luxury extras like a jacuzzi or a business-style hotel.

I lost ₹11,000 after an Airbnb app problem mistakenly canceled my reservation. I contacted Bernard and Sita right away and offered to book the same dates again at the same price, asking only for the canceled booking to be refunded. They refused and said I had to pay the full amount again. After that, they stopped replying and ignored calls from me and Airbnb support. The way this was handled showed a complete lack of customer service and felt highly unprofessional. Please be extremely cautious before booking.

The rooms are clean, and the beach is an easy walk away. The place is really pretty and feels like a resort. Loved their dog, ‘brandy’.

The hosts made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and their two friendly dogs added a lovely touch. The resort is a peaceful spot near Palolem Beach, with charming cottages set among lush gardens. Our cottage had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable, and the beach was within walking distance. A wonderful, restful stay.

It’s a good place to stay, very close to Palolem beach. The rooms are quite small, though.
