The Cape Goa

The place photographs well, and the beautiful Instagram reels and social media posts are what first drew us in. But the marketing feels much better than the actual visit. We felt misled by the image online compared with what we experienced. For families with young children, I’d look elsewhere. There’s virtually nothing for kids, and staff showed little willingness to help with even simple requests. The prices are astonishingly high for what’s offered, like a luxury 7-star destination on the menu, but the experience falls far short of many average beachside restaurants and cafes in Goa. A small portion of French fries cost ₹395. A small glass of poorly made chocolate milk, not even on the menu and prepared only because we asked, was also ₹395. There was barely any noticeable difference between the “small” and “large” portions apart from the price. The food has fancy names and descriptions, but nothing extraordinary about it, and the quality and taste don’t justify the premium prices. This was one of our most disappointing family visits in Goa. If you just want cliffside Instagram photos, other restaurants and viewpoints in Goa offer equally stunning views without the inflated prices and letdown. A classic case of style over substance.

Every dish we ordered was freshly made and worth the wait, with superb taste. We got Fish Mackerel goan style, Butter sauté mushroom, roti and palak paneer, two mocktails, and french fries, and each item was delicious. Sasmita handled our orders smoothly and was highly professional, excellent service, please pass on our thanks and kudos to her. The ambience is so good, and it’s easy to find by following Google maps. Sunset is the best time to visit. Totally worth it, 10/5 🤩

I tried the wontons and chicken melt, and the food was such a delight. The chicken melt felt like a scam because it didn’t have much chicken, but the taste and sides made up for that. The restaurant’s location is part of why it’s booming, but only partly. Definitely recommend a visit.

The view was mesmerizing, especially from the balcony seats at the edge, where we sat. The malabar prawns and chicken dimsums were both fantastic. Our server Lalit was courteous and polite, and his food recommendations were excellent. Great overall experience and service, well worth the price.
