The LaLiT Golf & Spa Resort Goa

The pool area and beach view were my favorite parts of staying at The Lalit Goa Resort. The setting felt lovely and relaxing, and the whole property was comfortable and well maintained. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Goa, and I'd be happy to stay again.

The beach was exceptionally clean and quiet, with a much more private feel than the crowded north. The property is huge, green, and peaceful, and the rooms have an old rustic character that felt warm and classic compared with modern hotels. We ate really well too, with delicious food and plenty of variety. For a relaxing break with a bit of vintage luxury, this is a gem in South Goa. Highly recommended.

I've stayed here four times over the last few years, usually with my child, who's now three. The open grounds, the property, and beach access are what I love about Lalit. This visit felt different, though. Nobody from staff checked in about how we were finding the stay, even though we were there for six or seven nights. At other five star resorts, the staff have treated us warmly regardless of how long we're there. I also found breakfast staff cold, with no greeting or smile. Ordering food for my child took at least 45-50 minutes, and basic roti and white rice weren't complimentary for kids. They only offered milk and khichdi. We don't mind paying, but it would help to have kid-sized portions of basic Indian food for children under five. Lalit has been one of my favorite places, and we've spent a week there each year, but this time the warmth you expect from a branded resort felt missing. Something was off with the hospitality.

We had a wonderful time at the resort, enjoying the clean beach and the New Year's party. We came to celebrate and stayed December 30th through January 1st. The location and resort were excellent. A few more staff could make things run more smoothly, especially for valet parking, escorting guests to rooms, and helping at breakfast. Little things could be handled better too, like having spoons near the pancake counter for syrup. That would improve the guest experience.
