The phone in the room is just for show and doesn’t work, and nobody tells you that beforehand. The staff just laugh when you bring problems to them, without doing anything. At checkout, good hotels usually ask if your stay was comfortable. They didn’t ask here, probably because they know they provided no facilities. The bathroom was a struggle to use. Water came neither from the shower hose nor the fountain, and getting hot water meant leaving the tap running for at least half an hour. The room phone was one of many things that wasn’t working properly. Cleanliness was poor too. The ceiling fan, kettle, bathroom bucket and mug, and other storage areas were dirty. For food, the so-called buffet had only cups, plates, and poha. This is one of the most useless, inferior hotels in Muktsar city. Rooms costing 700-1200 offer the same facilities as this place charges 3000+ rupees for.

We came to royal inn hotel Sri Muktsar sahib with our family and special guests, and it was a terrible decision. Staff commented on our order as if we didn’t know what to eat or how people eat. The food was served cold, even though it was supposed to be hot and fresh. When we asked them to make it again, they just reheated the old coffee with tons of sugar. The staff seemed frustrated with guests and didn’t know how to treat them. If they want people to come and order, they shouldn’t spoil a special day like this.

The hall is decent and good, but the catering and service are awful. What they provide doesn’t match the prices they charge. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
