Eagle Resort

The rooms were outdated, poorly maintained, and not very clean. Furniture showed wear, and the resort seemed neglected. I also found the service unprofessional, with staff seeming indifferent when I reported the hot water problem. There was no electricity, and hot water was inconsistent, so I ended up with cold showers in Srinagar’s chilly weather. They didn’t fix it promptly. Breakfast was another letdown: limited choices, poor quality, tasteless food that didn’t seem fresh, and a messy, unclean dining area with uncleared tables and dirty dishes. Given the poor facilities, disappointing food, service, and condition of the resort, I can’t recommend Eagle Resort in Srinagar. There are better places to stay, so I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

The location worked well, not too far from dal Lake or the market. Our room was clean and cozy, and the resort has a great view. I stayed for two days and had a nice experience overall. The owner was very polite, the staff helped us out, and the food was delicious.

What stood out in a bad way was the breakfast. There was little variety, the food was poorly prepared and unappetizing, and the dining area was dirty and disorganized, with uncleared tables and dishes piling up. The prices also felt far too high for what we got. Accommodation and amenities cost much more than their value, as though management cared more about getting money from guests than providing a decent stay. Hospitality was poor too. Staff seemed uninterested, and requests for help got apathetic, delayed responses that left me feeling ignored. My stay at Eagle Resort in Srinagar was thoroughly disappointing, and I’d advise people to think twice. There must be better value and more enjoyable options in Srinagar.

Mr shabir deserves a raise. He was especially nice and polite, and did whatever he could to help. I gave service a 5 because of the waiters, even though the rest of the stay was rough. The room had almost no usable electrical outlets. The points were wired in series like the 1990s, most switches seemed to be dummies, and only one or two lights worked. The TV was just for show, so that outlet could at least charge a phone. We got the hotel through Srinagar travels. Rooms were old and hadn't been renovated, and there were no amenities to speak of. The bathroom was awful, with a dark, poorly lit stained floor and an unsanitized toilet. Meals were hopeless too. Our omelettes were full of salt, dinner was oily, and the roti turned crisp like a papad within two minutes. There was supposedly a buffet, but it was just for show. They served tiny portions and took ages, saying they were bringing hot food.
