Hotel Grand Osheen

Majid Bhat was very helpful, and Grand osheen is close to the bridge with a dry fruits shop nearby. For this price, I got all the facilities, and the food, cleanliness, and service were all 5/5. Looking forward to visiting again soon. It was my first time in Srinagar, and I thought the hotel was really good. People from outside kashmir may not know the area and give this hotel one star. You can’t expect a business class seat when you’re paying for economy class. Compared with hotels in Delhi, Mumbai, or Hyderabad at the same price, those would be pathetic.

The staff were okay, but they didn’t respond well. The facilities were awful, and I wasn’t given proper instructions when I entered the room. The bathroom was dirty and poorly equipped, with no towel, soap, or toilet paper. The mattress was terrible, and there was no electric heater in the room. Breakfast and dinner were the same every day, and didn’t taste good. My experience overall was awful.

I spent almost 8 nights at this hotel. Mr Sharik, the manager, was amazing at sorting things out quickly, and his commando was great too. The staff behavior was the most noticeable thing, and they were excellent with me. Some hygiene improvements are needed, though the building’s age can be overlooked since they’ve managed to keep it in good condition. I’m okay with the hotel and would give it above 4.

There was an electricity problem all night, and the wifi didn’t work because of it. There wasn’t even an intercom. The taps were faulty and kept running water, while the washroom was like a public toilet. The rooms looked like a dharamshala, and the linen was dirty. I asked for it to be changed, but no one responded. For charges of 3000+, is this really a deluxe room? A very pathetic experience. Negative rating.
