Hotel Rose Petal

The Dal Lake view from our luxurious room and the snow clapped mountains made this one of my best holidays. We had early check in, a lavish b’fast, and wonderful customized in-dining service. Everything about the property was great, and Taj never disappoints. Thanks to everyone at reception and the front desk, all the staff during sea-off, and the restaurant staff, Paban, Zazo, Aizaj, and Babul. Your impeccable hospitality made our stay memorable.

We came as a family, and the beautiful setting made this long-awaited trip to Taj Dal Lake well worth it. From the hillside above the lake, we could see the shimmering water on one side and mountains and valleys on the other. The scenery was mesmerizing, and the property felt charming and peaceful, a lovely place to unwind. Our cozy, well-kept rooms blended modern comfort with local style. The food was another highlight, with impressive breakfast and dinner buffets in both taste and presentation, plus a good balance of Kashmiri and international dishes. Staff were warm, courteous, and attentive, and their personal hospitality made us feel at home. It's a peaceful retreat where you can slow down and spend quality time with loved ones. A must-visit for a family getaway in Kashmir.

We've stayed here four times. The location is spectacular, and Taj's service standards were superb as usual. The food was average on the first day, but it improved and was great for the rest of the stay after I spoke with the F&B Manager.

Chef Gupta and chef Rahul made a perfectly tailored meal for my toddler, and Fiona and the attentive staff treated us wonderfully. We were also grateful for a generous room upgrade. The serene, elegant setting balanced traditional charm with modern comfort. The food was a revelation, from saffron-infused curries to delicate desserts, all beautifully prepared. I had an unforgettable stay and would definitely return.
