The guest house itself is average, and the rooms look average too. There isn't an eating place nearby, though perhaps they serve food cooked in house. It sits on the right bank of the Jhelum in Shivpora, in the Badami bagh cantonment area, about 800 metres from the National Highway and opposite 15 Corps HQs in Srinagar. Its quieter setting away from the city's bustle and closeness to the highway are the main advantages. There are no recreational activities in the area.
