There’s a nice view from the second-floor balcony, and the owner is friendly and welcoming. The property is well maintained and clean, as expected for the budget. In winter, they provide warm bottles for the night. Service was very nice overall. It’s a little far from the main road, so if you come by car you’ll need to park elsewhere. Food at the property costs a little more than usual, so you can eat out instead. It was a nice, comfortable, budget-friendly stay, and I’d recommend it.

We stayed at this guest house, which felt more like a homestay, from 13th March to 17 th March, 2025. Its location near Dal Gate is excellent. The owner was very nice and helpful, and arranged sightseeing vehicles at reasonable rates. His brother runs a small shop inside the guest house selling Kashmiri shawls and garments at affordable prices, and he was very nice too. They can also arrange Shikara rides at reasonable rates. I’d love to stay here again on a future visit to Kashmir.

This is a guest house, not a hotel. The owner is a nice man and came to meet us on the road. It’s close to the lake, about 500 meters inside the colony. You’ll need to park somewhere else and carry your own luggage to the guest house. Breakfast and dinner are available here. A good budget option if you don’t want to spend much.

The owner was kind and helpful, and helped us sort out the parking problem. The rooms were neat, clean, and well maintained, with good staff and service. We stayed one night and had a great experience. There’s no parking at the guest house, though. Parking is about 300 m away, and finding a spot is quite difficult if you have an SUV. Still, I’d recommend the stay.

It’s in a wonderful location near Daalgate gate no 1. Parvez ji was very gracious and the hospitality was wonderful. I’ll definitely visit howrah guest house again!
