Faizan made sure everything was arranged for us and was a real help throughout. Aamir’s food was especially tasty. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a pleasant atmosphere, so we had a really nice stay at Kashmir Holiday Resort in Srinagar. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting.

Amir was responsive and cooperative when I had questions, and I appreciated his help. The hotel’s facilities and food were good, but the room I got didn’t seem up to the four-star rate MMT charged me. I had to ask for an upgrade myself, and although they handled it, the process was a hassle. If booking through MakeMyTrip (MMT), check that you’re assigned to the A building, since I found its rooms significantly better than those in B. A higher floor may also give you a better view and a more comfortable stay. Let the hotel know your meal preferences 1-2 hours ahead, as they may need time to prepare. The hotel is quite far from Dal Lake and the market, which made exploring inconvenient for me. I’d look for somewhere near Dal Lake Gate No. 17 instead, for easier access to both. There were positives, but I’d consider other Srinagar options for location and value. I stayed at Kashmir Holiday Resort on 23rd Nov 2025 and 29th Nov 2025, and my experience was mixed.

The B wing was especially bad, with smoking smells, no landline, no lift, and a long walk from the main reception. I wouldn’t choose it for a family. Even after paying to upgrade, the premium room was substandard. The owner didn’t take our concerns into account and just defended the place. Booking through MMT, I found, usually means getting the B wing, so check carefully and raise the issue upfront. It was a scary night for us, and I wouldn’t call this a 4-star hotel. My wife and I were the only guests I saw when we visited. There was no guard at the gate, and just two people seemed to cover all operations, including cooking and room service. Breakfast was awful, and reception was often empty in the morning. The bathroom was average even in a premium room. The heaters didn’t work, and the AC didn’t heat the room enough. It smelled terrible, and the sheets weren’t fresh. The whole property felt deserted after 6 pm, and I didn’t feel it was safe for a family. It’s also far from Dal Lake.

Maqsood ji, the owner, was warm and helpful, and Sahil and Yaseer provided great service and were resourceful. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor, served with real care. We stayed from Sep 20 to 24 Sep and loved how calm and well-kept the surroundings were. It was easy to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Kashmir and Srinagar near Dal lake. A peaceful retreat with good food and lovely hospitality. Highly recommended.
