I planned to stay four nights but left after just one. The hotel's city centre location is prime and convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, courteous, and willing to help, and their hospitality was a highlight. Food was quite good too, with a decent choice at breakfast and dinner. The rooms and bathrooms, though functional, were quite small and fell short on cleanliness and hygiene. The property also feels dated and needs significant renovation and upgrades to meet modern hospitality standards. With better room conditions and cleanliness, this could be a much better guest experience. As it is, the great location, helpful staff, and good food are let down by the state of the rooms.

The staff were polite and ready to help. Our room was clean, and the bathroom was tidy too, with a geyser and air conditioning. We had a very good stay.

The location near Zero Bridge was the one good point. There was nothing worthwhile to see from the window, and we waited until night for hot water. We eventually used a bathroom on another floor, but it didn't even have a bucket. The staff seemed very unprofessional. If this hotel is on your itinerary, ask to change it straight away.

The complimentary breakfast wasn't very good, and service could be painfully slow after ordering. Staff also struggled to understand what we were asking for. We couldn't go for a morning walk because the front gate wasn't unlocked until 8. The building is very old and badly needs renovation. For the amount charged in rent, the hotel should provide several more features.

The rooms were disgusting, and the bathroom was dirty and unhygienic. We couldn't get hot water when we needed it, and the TV didn't work because there was no recharge. When we came back to our room the next day, it still hadn't been cleaned. There was no room service when we asked for water, either. Basid was the manager and came across as very unprofessional. I'd rather sleep on the street than stay here, even if someone offered it to me for free.
