The room was cozy, clean, and well cared for, and waking up to the quiet lake view felt magical. The food was another highlight, freshly made, delicious, and full of authentic flavor, with every meal served warmly and thoughtfully. The views of the peaceful water and mountains made the whole stay feel special, and the staff made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. A lovely relaxing option for anyone visiting Kashmir.

We’ve stayed with them three times now, and loved this visit too. The team is warm and cooperative, the rooms are comfortable, and the shared living room feels cozy. Heating was good, which matters a lot, and the well-equipped bathrooms were sparkling clean with hot running water. There was also a delicious, generous spread of food. We had a wonderful stay and would strongly recommend the place.

Try to arrive before sunset, since there’s a great sunset spot right by the lake. The team’s hospitality was lovely, and the rooms and service felt high end. If you’re visiting Kashmir, I’d suggest staying here for at least one night to experience the Kashmiri royal hospitality. Best wishes to the team, I hope to visit again soon.

Mr. Shoaib, the manager, welcomed us and was a remarkable example of what good hospitality feels like. The food was tasty and hygiene was winsome. New York Houseboats has the peace, comfort, and warm welcome we were looking for, and we’re already planning another visit. The rest is better seen in the pictures.

Houseboat New York is a luxury houseboat and an excellent place to stay in Srinagar. The food and service were both top notch. Shoaib gets seven stars from us for arranging everything. We’ll definitely return soon and recommend it to friends coming to Kashmir.
