Evenings on Houseboat "Peace of Mind" were especially magical, with the quiet lake and soft sunset colors. Floating gently on calm water with mountains all around was a unique, peaceful experience. The wooden interiors were cozy and beautiful, and the hospitality felt warm and genuine. It was refreshing and something I’ll always remember.

The caretaker kept coming onto our boat during our two-night booking, including twice into our bedroom, without notice or invitation. On our first night, his colleague spent about three hours trying to sell us more accommodation and excursions at exorbitant prices. When we refused both, he and his boss became very threatening and aggressive. We booked hoping for a couple of peaceful nights by the beautiful lakeside, but got no privacy and no sense of hospitality. I don’t know what their real business is, but it isn’t tourism. Avoid booking with these guys. If I could give zero, I would. Thankfully, the rest of Srinigar is full of wonderful, friendly people. These guys are the opposite of 'Peace of mind'. Keep away!

Food wasn’t great, so I see no reason to come here. Salesmen knocked on the door every five minutes trying to sell things, and people were pushy whenever they could bother you. At the end, staff begged for a tip, saying how poor they were, even though this is one of the most expensive houseboats in Srinagar. Do not book this.

The houseboat was neat and clean, and the hospitality was excellent. The isolated lake location made transport a bit difficult, with no nearby shops or restaurants. For easier access and convenience, it’s advisable to book a houseboat near Dal Lake.

Our houseboat stay was one of the best parts of our trip in India! It was clean, bright, and in a great location. The staff were polite, professional, and friendly. We totally recommend them and would definitely go back!
