The view from the front is breathtaking, and the heating was great, better than on other, more expensive houseboats I've tried. The stay was very cost-effective, with five-star facilities and delicious, authentic Kashmiri food cooked at home. Mr Farooq Shagoo and his family were lovely, and we had a really nice time with them. Our SIM cards weren't working in Kashmir, so they gave us one of their own at no charge. Mr Farooq also drove us around the city for a very reasonable rate, and his wife gave us excellent saffron. They took care of every little thing. A lifetime experience to cherish, and a must-try houseboat.

We came away with beautiful memories. Farooq sahab was so humble and treated me like an elder brother. This became a whole kashmir tour, not just a house boat stay. He also drives an innova, so we got a two-in-one package for a very reasonable rate.

We stayed in an excellent 2bhk suit at a reasonable cost. Young shagoo palace was neat and clean, and MR.FAROOQ IS HONOR of this boat. He and his family were very nice. Dinner had excellent taste, quality, and quantity, and felt just like home. I recommend Young shagoo palace with food included.
