OYO 23518 Moon Bay

The receptionist was rude. I had prepaid through OYO, but when I arrived they demanded more money before letting me check in. The bathroom was disgusting and the flush didn't work. There was no hot water, and the towels and bed were dirty. Worst hotel I've stayed in so far.

I chose the place after seeing the prices, but the hotel staff member charged me nearly double. When I asked why it differed from OYO, he said the hotel had been removed from OYO ten years ago, even though OYO branding was still all over the property. I asked what would happen if someone booked online through OYO and showed up. He shockingly said he would have kicked them out. Barbarians are running hotels nowadays. He was a Keralite, and it was so disappointing to hear someone in my own state say he'd kick me out. I won't recommend it to anyone. Please don't stay there.

Nothing was working, and the building was still under construction. The amenities Oyo described weren't up to standard, and Oyo didn't return my money. I had such a bad experience that I left in the middle of the night and went to another hotel.

Don't book here, they cheat people. Moonbay and halfmoon inn have the same management. I booked a room at moonbay through Goibibo, where the amount due at the hotel was listed as Rs. 630 in the picture I uploaded. When I arrived, they said I could only get a room if I paid Rs 1100. They shouted at me when I questioned it and said, "if you want room pay this or get lost". I had traveled for more than 14 hours, was tired, and didn't know the area well enough to find somewhere else. So I had to pay Rs 1100. They knew this would happen, and most other travellers were being cheated too. The room itself was okay, with a TV and balcony, but it smelled very bad. The AC was noisy and didn't cool much, and the bathroom smelled bad and was in really poor condition. Cleanliness gets 0. I wouldn't suggest this place to any of my friends.
