Temple Stay Hotel

I spent two days here on a solo trip to visit nearby Divya Desams in Sri Rangam. The price was budget-friendly, and the room was spacious with 24-hour hot water. Maintenance was pretty good, Wi-Fi was available, and there's a separate car park for around 10 cars as well as a small bike parking space. The only drawback was that there's no lift.

The location makes it easy to get around Trichirappalli's temples, including SriRangam, Samayapram, Thiruvanaikoil, and Malaikottai. The ambience was very nice, the staff were friendly, and room service was well connected with top-class restaurants. Really good value for the money spent.

We paid around 6k for two rooms for our family, but the upkeep was very poor and the stay wasn’t worth it. The kitchen area was covered in dust and spider webs. There was no first aid kit or refrigerator, including for medical needs. The building itself is high-rise. Please don’t stay here.

This felt more like a homestay than a hotel. The bed was rock hard, and the front desk controlled the AC, which was pretty funny. The linens and towels were dirty; there was even a blood spot on the sheet. The first caretaker didn’t change it when I asked, but the night shift employee brought another one. We had to request clean towels too, and mosquitoes still made the night miserable with the AC on. After we parked in the open lot, a woman from the neighborhood set fire to the dry grass, so we had to keep an eye on it until it went out.
