New Regency tourist home

No hot water, rude staff, and no room service. This hotel offers endurance tests and conceptual art, apparently. The shower was the highlight: forget hot water, you get an invigorating arctic shock that tests your fortitude. I haven’t felt so awake since jumping into a frozen lake. Maybe they’re committed to the environment by making sure nobody stays under the showerhead for more than thirty seconds and saves gallons of water. Calling the front desk again and again about this special feature was part of the fun. They seemed to enjoy the mystery of the water issue that couldn’t be fixed almost as much as I enjoyed shivering afterward.

The parking and hot water were the best parts of my stay. I’d been here before on personal trips without any trouble, but I wouldn’t choose it for business. I visited this time to look over the facilities, including the convocation hall, poolside, and food, for a large event. Then getting an invoice for my stay turned into a nightmare. Payment has to be made in advance, and when I extended my stay and paid at checkout, that extra payment didn’t appear on the bill. I spent three days trying to sort it out over many calls. Every time someone new answered, I had to explain the whole story again, and the manager I was trying to reach never called back.

My girlfriend and I had such a good stay here. The team’s warm hospitality and comfortable amenities made the whole experience memorable, and the welcoming feel really was like being at home. We’d definitely recommend this hotel.

Issac Hotel is right in Sultan Bathery town, so nearby restaurants and shopping are easy to reach. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were courteous and helpful. We stayed one night during our Wayanad visit. The room itself was dark and damp, though, with too little light and poor ventilation. The bathroom smelled unpleasant and had no proper exhaust, and the old, odorous towels made things less comfortable. It might do for a budget stay, but at peak season or on holidays the price doesn’t seem justified by the experience.
