Hotel Citizen- Surat

The only good part was the breakfast. I ended up here because every other hotel I looked at was already booked, and the stay was very bad. The place was unhygienic, they didn’t clean the room, and the staff were arrogant and ignored customer problems. It was also very costly. I’d never recommend it. Please avoid unless it’s an emergency.

I’m there almost every month for 2-3 days, and Citizen never lets me down. The staff are really helpful and greet you with big smiles. My car is always parked very well, too. It’s a great location, and the rooms are good for the rates.

The food was very bad and not worth what they charged. I also had a hard time getting a proper tax invoice, which I finally received only after a lot of arguing. The price they charged was almost double the rate shown online. Booking directly can mean a heavy overcharge, so it’s better to use a hotel booking app and save money.

Getting around Surat was easy from Hotel Citizen, and the location was convenient and simple to find. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well kept. Staff were very polite and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Surat.
