Hotel Gold Palace Inn

My experience at Super OYO Collection O Hotel Gold Palace Banquet & Rooms was awful. We arrived with a confirmed booking, only to learn that the rooms had been given to someone willing to pay more. It left me and my senior citizen parents in a difficult spot, and the manager was rude and unhelpful. There was also a policy around couples that seemed discriminatory. Unmarried couples were apparently allowed only very short stays, while married couples booking through Oyo could not stay for 1-2 days. That made the place feel unwelcoming and raised ethical concerns. After accepting the booking, the hotel denied us entry. It took several calls and a lot of effort to get a refund. Guests should be able to rely on a confirmed reservation, and this whole situation felt like a questionable, possibly fraudulent practice. Booking problems, that policy, and poor service made for a very unpleasant experience.

We paid in full a week before our booking, then traveled five hours with my senior citizen parents, only to be refused check-in. More than three other travelers and their families were stuck there too. The hotel had apparently given rooms to a bulk booking made that day or the day before, while turning away the rest of us. If the manager considered the hotel overbooked, they should have told us in advance. The manager, Nikhil, was rude, blamed everything on Oyo, and wouldn’t answer our questions. He spoke rudely to me, my mother, and my wife. Either Oyo is a fraud company or this hotel is. They take reservations and then don’t let guests check in. This hotel should be banned, and nobody should book it.

Make my trip scammed me with this booking. I was there for less than an hour but paid for two nights. The place was horrible, and cleanliness and hygiene weren’t maintained.

The rooms were clean and a little bigger than the average rooms at nearby hotels. Linens and bathrooms were clean too, and room service was good. The owners were very accommodating. Mr.Shetty is a cultured, well-mannered owner.
