Havelock Island Beach Resort

We spent a day here with my husband, and the property is beautiful, spacious, and really nice. We had pizza and Thai curry, and the food was very tasty. The pool, DJ, and outdoor restaurant are great, and they have their own private beach with plenty of space for dinner. They also set up beachside candlelight dinners with beautiful decorations. Dinesh and Nasim are doing a great job, they’re polite and generous with guests. The staff were all very polite and humble :)

Mr Dinesh at reception made our stay seamless and was helpful the whole time. The room was very clean, and the location is the highlight. The private beach was beautiful, calm, and serene, with clear, shallow water that’s good for gentle swimming. The pool is very large and clean too, and breakfast had lots of options, from continental to Indian. We stayed one night because of availability, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. I’d highly recommend this resort for a memorable stay in havelock.

The private beach and setting are beautiful, and there are plenty of amenities: a pool, beachside restaurant and bar, wooden cottages, in-house scuba diving, and a nightly DJ. A few courteous staff tried to keep things going, especially Kritika, whose professionalism and hard work made the stay bearable. The main problem is untrained staff and poor supervision. Check-in was awful, and housekeeping needs to improve for these tariffs. Breakfast menu and service were also below standard. The food was poor and the service very slow.

We had a pleasant two-night stay at HIBR, a big and relatively famous resort in Havelock. For our anniversary, the staff readily gave us a complimentary room upgrade, something our other two resorts in Andaman hadn’t done. The in-house sea dragon restaurant served delicious food, and the resort has its own scuba and snorkelling center. DJ nights had an amazing vibe. The pool stayed open until 9pm and the water was cleaned regularly. They can also arrange beachside dinner setups for different occasions. There’s private beach access too. It isn’t ideal for swimming, but it’s a good place to relax by the sea any time of day. Our room was spacious and clean, and direct bookings through the resort include complimentary pickup and drop-off from the jetty. The breakfast spread was average, only about 5-6 items and no dessert, though I found the same at other resorts. The toiletries had old packaging, with the resort name stickers coming off. Nothing else comes to mind as a drawback.
