We paid 7000/- a night including breakfast for one king-size bed, and it felt overpriced. Food quality and variety didn’t justify the prices. There was no lunch or dinner buffet, only breakfast, with very few items. The restaurant was supposed to open at 8 am but actually started at 9 am. Tea came without cookies, and lunch had no salad or onion. The room had clearly been shut for a long time. There was dust and a lot of hair in the wardrobe, which wasn’t clean, and it had no hook. The bathroom floor wasn’t level, so water stayed there, and the taps were loose. There were no doormats in either the room or bathroom. Service was poor from the start. The welcome was lacking, and the service boy hadn’t turned on the room electricity. I had to call twice before they did. Tata sky wasn’t recharged either, so we had to ask for that. When we requested drinking water, I waited half an hour, called again, and still didn’t get any. Power cuts were frequent and long. There was no real backup, just an inverter for the bathroom light, room fan, and a room light, and even that sometimes shut down. You couldn’t use the AC or cattle with electricity. The Mountain View side wasn’t a good view for us, just other hotels and then a mountain very close by. There was no swimming pool or kids’ game zone.

A typical 3-star place. The location works well if you’re heading to the higher mountains, but avoid the inner rooms because of fungus and the smell. The balcony isn’t very big. The restaurant doesn’t take orders before 8 AM, so plan around that.

The food was okay, but the prices were really high. Everything else made for a bad stay: room service was slow, and I had to keep calling reception for basic things like shower gel, soap, slippers, and tea bags. One staff member didn’t even knock before coming in. I’d forgotten to lock the room once, and he walked straight in to ask why I’d called reception.

The room I stayed in was amazing, and the staff were otherwise polite and helpful. But my experience at the hotel was frightening. The receptionist kept staring at me and tried to pass me his phone number. It was my last day, so I ignored it. Room service was quite slow, and there weren’t any side facilities I could appreciate beyond the room. The food wasn’t great either. One of the guys even stole a visitor’s mobile and was eventually caught.
