The rooms, cleanliness, staff and location were all good. But don't book the breakfast option. There's no food facility or in-house restaurant, service takes a long time, and the breakfast we got wasn't fresh. We skipped some of it because the items seemed unhygienic. Also, booking through an agent costs 1000 more per day. Call the hotel directly to book, it was only 2800 with breakfast.
We booked through OYO and got rooms at a very reasonable rate. It's a good place for a day or two, with cozy, comfortable rooms that are a bit small. The service was extremely good, and staff were courteous and always ready to help. One room had a problem with the toilet flush, but they changed it immediately. The hotel is a bit away from Ujjain city. A good option at a reasonable price.
For what it costs, this place just isn't worth it. The rooms weren't ready or clean, and customer service was poor. I'd give it negative points if I could. They need to improve their cleaning and replace some of the old inventory. There are plenty of better hotels nearby.
We booked eight rooms for two nights, checking in on August 12 and leaving on August 14. The price seemed reasonable at first, but the stay was a mess. The bathing water had sand in it, literally muddy water, and when I raised it, the owner said it wasn't harmful and we should just bathe. No service at all, really. We had dinner there, and the cutlery was cracked and dirty, looking at least four or five years old. After someone cleaned our room, they left the cutlery on a table in the corridor, where it stayed for the next two days. We came back late one night to find the rooms cleaned, but the extra mattresses were missing. At 11 PM we couldn't really ask for them, so we made do. We'd arranged an auto to explore Ujjain, and the receptionist confirmed it would arrive at 8 in the morning. We waited at reception with our packed bags, children, and family for three hours. Then he said the driver wasn't coming and told us to find our own ride. When we left, they acted as though all of this was routine. A terrible experience.
The staff were nice, polite, and the property was hygienic, so the service was good overall. The hotel has no kitchen on site, though. Lunch and dinner can be brought from the owner's other nearby properties, but for breakfast you're left to order through Swiggy or Zomato. I'd give the hotel three stars because it lacks its own kitchen, and the staff a star for their behavior.
