Lamrin Boutique Cottages Rishikesh

The service was excellent and all our needs and questions were taken care of during our three days at Lamrin. The rooms were nicely furnished, and we liked having breakfast on the balcony. The sitting room between the two upstairs rooms was comfortable too. Just as other comments mention, the walk up from Ganga is a bit of a hike, especially in hot weather.

Our family stayed at Lamarin Cottages in December while visiting Rishikesh for a sacred ritual. We were with our father, who uses a wheelchair, and the staff made sure from the start that he and the rest of us were comfortable and supported. Everyone was attentive, courteous, and helpful. I can’t remember all their names, but Richa, the manager, deserves a special mention for coordinating everything smoothly, including yoga sessions, massages, and our other arrangements. When our father became unwell on the last day, the team promptly helped us and arranged an ambulance. We appreciated that support a lot. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with fresh linen and cozy beds. The food was so delicious that we ate more than usual, and they happily adjusted meals to our needs. The ginger tea was especially good. One bathroom had a drainage issue, but it was dealt with quickly. We had an excellent stay, highly recommend Lamarin Cottages, and hope to return.

We felt wonderfully cared for throughout our stay. The staff were warm, attentive, dependable, and genuinely caring, the most heartfelt hospitality we’ve experienced in India across many visits. The elevated setting keeps it quiet while still close to Ram Jhula, Janki Setu, and the Ganges. The cottages were spotless and beautiful, the rooms stylish, and the beds extremely comfortable. We also loved the authentic Indian food and the care taken with individual preferences. A peaceful, elegant place with a lovely spiritual feel. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

We loved the cottage, rooms, amenities, views, and service, and it’s not far from the town centre. But parking is difficult because the approach roads are really narrow. Worse, I got food poisoning after breakfast, which spoiled our trip. They need to improve the hygiene or stop serving food. We stayed one night over the Good Friday long weekend. As long as you avoid the food, it’s a great place.
