Meals at Darbar Farmstay have a real connection to the land. The food is fresh and wholesome, made with farm-based ingredients, and the flavours are comforting but still refined. The attentive team are warm without being formal, and made us feel cared for without hovering. It felt more like being welcomed into a thoughtful home than staying in a hotel. The setting is just as memorable. Serene hills and lovely views in every direction create a calm, untouched feeling. Sitting outside in the fresh mountain air, watching time slow down, was a rare pleasure. The property feels naturally elegant, with warmth in every corner rather than anything artificial or overdone. Quiet mornings, golden sunsets, and peaceful evenings under the stars all invite you to slow down and be present. This was one of those trips that stays with you after leaving. Darbar Farmstay offers calm, care, good food, and beauty. If you're looking for heartfelt hospitality and stunning surroundings, it's a place worth visiting and revisiting.

Darbar is a heritage farmstay in Chamba, Uttarakhand, and each room looks out onto breathtaking mountains. Sunrises and sunsets are especially lovely from here. The team are friendly and often go out of their way to make every stay comfortable and memorable, giving the place a welcoming, home-like feel. The food is a big reason to return. Fresh organic produce from the estate's own farmland goes into delicious homestyle meals that rival top city restaurants. The farm-to-table approach makes every meal memorable. Garhwali art, heritage interiors, and a museum-themed restaurant give the dining space a distinctive, cozy character. There's plenty of room to unwind, whether on the stone terrace, by a bonfire, or over local food. With its peaceful atmosphere, heritage architecture, and sincere hospitality, Darbar feels like somewhere to reconnect and come home to. No wonder it keeps drawing you back.

It's very far from the main city, and the place didn't look like the photos. The taps were leaking, the couches were torn, and the doors got stuck and wouldn't open properly. This is what you get for 8000 per night in the off season.

A special thing about Darbar Heritage Farmstay is how comfortable and thoughtful they are when you're travelling with a pet. It really felt like home for both me and my furry companion. The place is surrounded by beautiful nature and has a soothing calm that makes it easy to leave the city rush behind. The host was warm and gracious, with a personal touch that made the whole stay memorable. Pure bliss, and a feeling that makes you want to come back again and again. I will definitely come back.
