The pictures made the hotel look fancy, but the room we were given was a very different story. The walls had seepage marks and the bathroom smelled awful. We’d booked well in advance and paid a deposit, and had even arranged an early check-in, but they rudely refused it when we arrived. We left the advance behind and went looking for somewhere nearby that was both cleaner and affordable. That’s how bad the room was. If you’re considering staying here, I’d avoid paying anything upfront until you’ve seen the room in person.

We had a pleasant stay. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the staff were very helpful with advice on places to see and getting around town. You can leave your bags at the hotel while you explore, too. It costs 25 rupees per bag per day.

The market is right outside, and Laxman jhoola and several Dhaam's are about 500 meters away. There are lovely beaches around Laxman jhoola that are a MUST VISIT. Cabs are easy to arrange by phone, and booking offices are in the market. Parking is shared among the hotels and costs 100 for 24 hours, with the vehicle kept secure. We found the hotel spacious and pretty clean, and the service was quick when we asked for something. Mini soaps, mini tooth-paste, disposable brushes, and other items are available on call. The food felt like home, with the right amount of spice and generous portions. Mr. Divyae was a kind, humble host who understood what guests needed and helped accordingly. We had a wonderful experience at Rishikesh Stay Family Room.

It works for a night if you mainly need somewhere to leave your luggage while exploring rishikesh. The rooms themselves were good, though they didn’t have recent accessories. We were on the ground floor and the service there wasn’t up to the mark. There was a window AC, but no drawers or other place to put clothes, and no wifi or extra accessories.

The staff were friendly and ready to help, and it was a pretty good place to stay. There’s no WiFi, which makes online work difficult, though they did give me a device to use. My room had some mould, and the cleaning could be better, especially the linen and bathroom.
