Stone Wood Hotel Rishikesh

For a one-night crash, this place is okay. It’s peaceful and in a nice location, though a little tricky to get to. The property is basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. Breakfast is very simple, with little to expect in either variety or taste. If you want a better meal, I’d try one of the nearby cafés.

The room’s hygiene was unacceptable, and we left after one night even though we had booked three. The blanket cover had blood stains, there was fungus beneath the mattress, and we found hair on the mattress itself. The bathroom also had visible fungus and was very unhygienic. We were tired and didn’t notice these things when we arrived at night, but the next morning was a nightmare. I strongly advise people to avoid this property. Images are attached for reference. Never book here. Pathetic experience, never again.

On 29.10.25, my friend and I came for the six family rooms we had booked on 28.10.25, but the receptionist wouldn’t give us rooms even though I had paid. There was a chakka jam in Reshikesh that day. The receptionist had no manners when talking to children and behaved rudely, Mr .......... Don’t come to this hotel. They’re a big hotel chain, but don’t serve people from other states well and treat us like we came from outer space 🚀 The restaurant staff were good, though. Mr Gavrav and his team served good food to my family and friends. ...

The pool needed better upkeep during my visit, and the rooms felt average for the price, clean but short of the premium standard I expected. A few room upgrades and more care for the pool could make this one of the best places to stay in Rishikesh. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, conveniently close to the main attractions but away from the noise. Staff were courteous and prompt, and their hospitality made things comfortable. Food was quite good, especially breakfast and dinner, and tasted fresh and well prepared. A pleasant stay overall, with decent comfort, tasty meals, and friendly service in a calm setting.
